Dallas Cowboys – Football (Texas Stadium)
In 12 NFL seasons, Troy Aikman became one of the
game's great quarterbacks. As one of only three
players in NFL history to lead a team to three Super
Bowl victories, Aikman has rewritten virtually every
passing record in Cowboys' history. He closed his
career with 94 regular season wins, including 90 in
the decade of the 1990's -- making him the winningest
starting quarterback of any decade in NFL history
(Joe Montana held the record with 86 wins in the
1980's). Along with that mark, Aikman holds or is
tied for 47 Dallas passing records, including the
club's career records for attempts (4,715),
completions (2,898), passing yards (32,942),
touchdowns (165) and completion percentage (61.5% -
third best in NFL history at the time of his
retirement). He also posted a club-high 13 regular
season 300-yard passing games during his career.

Dallas Mavericks – Basketball (American
Airlines Center)
The Dallas Mavericks joined the NBA in 1980-81 and
quickly became a competitive franchise. With premium
draft selections the team steadily improved through
the 1980's - Dallas looked like a team of the future.
Then in the early 1990's the Mavericks experienced
one of the most precipitous declines in NBA history.
The team's descent was so complete that it twice
threatened the worst single-season record ever
recorded. But with a solid core of young, talented
players, the Mavericks are
climbing their way back up the NBA ladder and in
2006 played for the NBA Championship.

Dallas Stars – Hockey (American Airlines
Center)
Many people do not realize that the roots of
professional hockey in Dallas date back to the fall
of 1941. It was a strange and unusual site, as the
Fair Park Ice Arena welcomed the sport from the
North to the citizens of Dallas for the first time.
Advertised in the papers as “The most dangerous game
in the world…murder on ice, it has been called…with
playing speed, flashing blades and crashing bodies,”
the lights came up on a debut unlike any other. In
recent years, the Dallas Stars became a
perennial hockey powerhouse.
